Thompson Hine is seeking a counsel or partner level health and welfare attorney to join its esteemed Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Practice group.  The attorney can be located in our Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Atlanta, or Washington, DC offices. Remote candidates will be considered on a case by case basis. Experience providing advice to businesses on all aspects of health and welfare plans, including wrap plans, cafeteria plans and flexible benefits arrangements; Affordable Care Act, COBRA, HIPAA, Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, TiC and CAA 21 compliance; drafting and negotiating service provider agreements; and resolving issues relating to administration of health and welfare plans is required.  The ideal candidate will have strong experience providing proactive advice to employers on a wide range of compliance and litigation issues affecting health and welfare employee benefit plans. 

Thompson Hine LLP seeks an associate with four to eight years of experience to join its Labor & Employment practice based in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, or Dayton, Ohio.  Experience representing clients in labor and employment litigation and general employment counseling is required. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a full range of class action and individual lawsuits related to employment discrimination allegations, wage and hour claims, plus experience handling issues related to employee discipline, breach of restrictive covenants, unlawful harassment and retaliation, labor law and workplace investigations and trainings.  OSHA experience a plus.  Federal clerkship experience a plus. A superior academic record, strong work ethic, and excellent writing and research skills required.
