We created this diversity externship program as a way to provide rewarding educational opportunities to law students in the community and to encourage future attorneys to understand the importance of pro bono legal services and its impact on the clients they serve.
This position is for a pro bono externship during the Fall, Spring or Summer for class credit. Before applying, ensure that your school allows you to work at a law firm for externship credit.
Applicants must provide a current resume, law school and undergraduate transcripts, a writing sample, two references, and answer the following questions (submit as an attachment):
- Describe how your experiences and background will contribute to the diversity of Thompson Hine. Also describe any ideas or plans you have for improving diversity in the legal profession in general.
- Describe why you wish to be considered for the externship, including specific information as to your interest in pro bono work. Explain how you think this externship will help you achieve some of your goals. Also explain what you hope to learn from this externship.
